Our Toddlers (20 months to 3 years old)
Toddlers begin their day with self care - putting away their bags, wearing their own indoor shoes, washing their hands, and getting ready for group gathering. During Circle, they sing songs, read stories and poems, talk about the calendar and weather, and dance! Throughout the day, our toddlers do a lot of movement activities, follow consistent routines, learn good manners, habits, and polite expressions, and with guidance from our Montessori teachers, learn about the world using their senses. Children have ample time for play, rest, and nourishment, and love and care from their teachers. This Program aims to prepare toddlers for the primary or early childhood education.
Our Primary (3-6 years old)
After self care routine, our primary children get ready for Circle where they dance, sing songs, read stories and poems, share their thoughts about a topic, learn a new lesson, and plan their work or project focus for the day. They either select an independent job, complete an unfinished work, or work with a Montessori teacher on a new lesson. The children have a three hour work period everyday. The program aims to transfer and master foundational skills in literacy and numeracy and prepare them for kindergarten or 1st grade. The primary program environment develops social and emotional skills, as well as cognitive skills through play, partnership and group work, and engagement with children of different ages and stages.
